Seoul rebooks 30 September cancellations for 3 December

Immigrant visa interviews that Seoul cancelled for 30 September are being rebooked for 3 December. Several applicants shared the rescheduling emails on 4 November. Spouse cases (IR1/CR1) are confirmed so far; K-1 is not. It is the first rebooking reported from Seoul since the worldwide pause began. Applicants there think the in-person public-charge training moved on from Tokyo, which has been interviewing again since late October, but nothing official says where the trainers go next.

Bogota: an expedite that worked

An EB-3 family who had lived in the US for about ten years travelled to Bogota for a 21 October interview, and it was cancelled the day before for the training. Their first expedite request, based on a US citizen child's medical appointment, was refused. After the family contacted their US representative, the post asked for proof of the appointment and rebooked them for 30 October. The officer asked about the principal's job and pay, the spouse's work and income, and health insurance, and wanted proof for each answer. A pink 221(g) asked for mortgage statements, leases and property values for their US properties. They handed those in the same day, and the visas were ready on 2 November. Separately, the post moved a derivative EB-3 child's second interview from 19 November to 9 December without being asked.

Rio de Janeiro, Kingston and Athens

Rio de Janeiro approved an immigrant visa at a second interview on 3 November, for an applicant first interviewed on 2 February. At Kingston, an IR5 parent re-interviewed on 15 October stayed Refused until 26 October, moved to Administrative Processing on 29 October and was then issued (reported by a friend). The Athens F4 family re-interviewed on 3 November now shows Ready in CEAC.

Domicile and income: Tunis and Singapore

A spouse case at Tunis was sent to administrative processing at its 22 October second interview after the officer learned the petitioner had been living abroad with the applicant and had not worked for 18 months. The applicant was told to expect contact in 10 days and has heard nothing. Replies point to the petitioner's US domicile and income as the gap. Outside the pause, a Singapore K-1 was asked for about 30,000 USD of the applicant's own funds because a recent job change meant the petitioner's new salary was not counted. Both cases are now in the re-interview guide, with the Bogota property documents.

Still waiting

An IR-1 at Phnom Penh interviewed on 11 August, asked only for a tax transcript, is still Refused with no update, and a congressional inquiry produced nothing. A Mumbai IR1 whose only request was a social media affidavit has shown Ready since early August, 105 days after the interview. A claim circulating in applicant groups says new first interviews at some posts could wait until 2029 for the training. Nothing official supports any date, and Seoul's rebooking shows posts that finish training can move. The latest status for every post is on the pause status page.

Work and visitor visas

Chennai put an L-1A new-office applicant into administrative processing on 2 November after a second round of questions in a private room about both companies. An Istanbul L-1 family's CEAC has not moved since its 5 October interview, three weeks after they sent the documents. Mumbai issued an F-1 two days after a social media 221(g), and Lima kept an F-1 passport for the same check. Chennai, Mumbai and New Delhi approved B1/B2 applicants on 3 and 4 November. Wait times by post are on our 221(g) tracker.
