This covers Friday night into Saturday morning, a short window after Thursday's double day, and it was quiet: twenty-one threads, nine records. The hearing on enforcement is Tuesday 14 October, in person, after the judge refused the government's request to move it; the government has added a second attorney to the case, which the thread reads as cover for the in-person order rather than anything more.* Court items are asterisked and come from community docket summaries.
Kathmandu: a phone call, then a list
The first first-hand non-plaintiff callback from Kathmandu is a parent case. An IR5 applicant first interviewed on 27 January, who had already supplied extra documents in July, was phoned on 9 October and then emailed a re-interview with a list: a resume, education certificates, evidence of bank balance and assets, a health insurance plan and a job offer letter. He is over sixty, worked abroad two decades ago, and his finances are run by a son in the US; the family's question is how to present assets held by the son and the spouse, and insurance with no employer plan to join. It is the most specific list any post has sent and it lands on the category least able to answer it. The re-interview guide has the list and the thread's working answers, and a separate thread of non-spouse family applicants asking how anyone in F1, F2B, F3, F4 or IR5 is meant to evidence health insurance before arrival has no answers yet beyond marketplace and private quotes.
Passports requested without a second interview, second-hand
Two reports, neither first-hand, of a route we had not seen: the passport alone. An immigration attorney in Brazil describes two employment-based clients with July and August first interviews asked to send passports directly. At Bogota an IR1 interviewed around 18-19 August was contacted only for her passport, her first interview having already covered savings, assets, debts and insurance. The common thread is a recent first interview at which the new questions were already put. Against that, another applicant was told by their post that it cannot approve any visa without a second interview. Expect it to vary by post and by how recent the first interview was; the Bogota row now carries the report as relayed.
Still waiting
Amman applicants with first interviews cancelled for 5 and 25 March have no dates seven months on and ask whether the post interviews at all; two rows added to the cancellations tracker. Ankara family cases are asking the same. Yerevan's 17 March spouse case counts four or five file openings since August and no call.
Outside the pause
An H-1B stamping appointment in India booked for early 2026 was pushed a full year, to early 2027, in a 15 December notice citing additional social media vetting; the applicant now needs a fresh DS-160 and must have both confirmation pages linked at the visa centre. An O-1 at Hyderabad reads Issued since 7 October with a blank passport status on the portal, the same pattern as this week's Mumbai B1/B2. A Sydney B1/B2 interviewed 1 October, passport kept, has not come back after nine days with a flight on the 20th; the thread says one to two weeks is normal there.
What the day adds
Nine records added. Kathmandu moved to a first-hand non-plaintiff callback, Bogota and Amman rows updated on the status-by-embassy page. Two cancellations added. The guide gains the passport-only route and the Kathmandu list. Next: the 14 October hearing.* Today's dataset is crowdsourced and anonymised.
