Day 73. Two European posts moved cases forward, and the financial questions reached an employment-based applicant.
Frankfurt books a second interview for 4 November
A CR1 applicant with German nationality, not a pause country, was first interviewed at Frankfurt on 13 August and sent one extra document the same day. After two months of silence, the consulate emailed an invitation to a second interview on 4 November. The applicant accepted by replying to the email, and the consulate confirmed that no booking on the scheduling site is needed. Frankfurt has been sending second-interview emails about a week or two ahead since early October, and several of those cases were issued within days.
Stockholm sends an interview letter
An IR1 documentarily qualified on 2 April, which never had an interview date, was told on 27 October that its interview was cancelled and would be rescheduled. Two days later, on 29 October, an interview letter arrived for 25 November. The applicant did not escalate. They say another applicant qualified around 1 April got a letter the same week.
EB-3 re-interviews get the financial list too
An EB-3 applicant first interviewed in January, at a post they did not name, was emailed ahead of a re-interview with the same document instructions that diversity visa applicants receive, financial documents included. Employment-based applicants should prepare the income, asset and health-cover evidence family cases are being asked for. The re-interview guide has the list.
Dhaka and Islamabad
At Dhaka, a handful of applicants first interviewed between 20 January and 3 February are said to have had new medicals and then re-interview dates by email; this is relayed, and nobody reports a visa without a second interview. At Islamabad, an IR1 refused under 221(g) on 10 February because the officer questioned the petitioner's US domicile sent an inquiry and got only a generic reply on 2 November. An immigrant case in administrative processing there under the travel ban since 1 December 2025 has had no contact and is close to the one-year mark. Per-post status is on the pause status page.
Work and visitor visas
An H-1B renewal at Kathmandu, interviewed 5 October and handed a pink 221(g) slip asking for social media links, still reads Refused after four weeks; the first email left out the reference number in the subject line, so it was sent again. An H-4 spouse at Dhaka with four earlier F-2 refusals was asked for social media details and issued within three days. Mumbai and Hyderabad approved visitor visas for couples on 22 and 30 October. Wait times by post are on our 221(g) tracker.
