What has happened at Frankfurt

Pause-country cases are being issued: a CR1 first interviewed 2 July and refused on nationality had a second interview on 6 October (insurance plan named and the petitioner's card shown, education, bank accounts with a statement ready, the car loan's size and term, no property) and the visa was issued on 8 October, package arriving 12 October. Second-interview emails went out 8-9 October to an August 221(g) CR1 (insurance estimate, household returns, cash-assistance and debts question) and to a 17 February Thai spouse living elsewhere in Europe; reschedule requests refused. Earlier: a 6 October first interview for a service member's spouse with manager review; K-1s turned away 1 October. Separately, two K-1s interviewed 13 and 18 August have passports kept and CEAC stuck (one Ready, one Refused) through repeated touches with no decision as of 11 October.

How do I contact Frankfurt about a pause case?

What applicants at Frankfurt report: Generic second-interview emails a week out; issuance within two days; no rescheduling. Across posts, emails usually return nothing or a copy of the cable, and a congressional inquiry has so far returned one line. A moving CEAC last-updated date after you write means someone opened the file; it is not a decision and has not preceded one in any case we hold.

If you are waiting on Frankfurt

  • Expect a new medical to be the first request if yours is older than six months; ask your panel clinic whether it already has instructions before you book.
  • Every approval since the cable went through a second interview about money: taxes, savings, debts, insurance, employment plans and benefits history. The list is in the re-interview guide.
  • A changed CEAC date after you email the post means the file was opened, not decided.
  • If your report would change this page, add your case. Rows are built from reports; a post with none cannot be shown as moving.
