What has happened at Dhaka
Who is being re-interviewed is disputed. One observer says the calls are going to cases placed in administrative processing after 2025 and 2026 first interviews, not to the remanded pause cases, and that some re-interviewed applicants were given 212(a)(4) public charge refusals with a few passports kept; a relayed group figure puts it at two or three passports kept out of fifty to sixty seen. Others say the post has not started at all and the reports are false. The 1-2 October re-medical emails to a few January cases remain the only first-hand contact. A February IR1 with an expired medical and a 221(g) solely for the pause has had nothing. First interviews cancelled for 9, 20 and 29 September have no dates.

How do I contact Dhaka about a pause case?
What applicants at Dhaka report: Re-medical emails to a few January cases, relayed; re-interview reports disputed; no visa reported. Across posts, emails usually return nothing or a copy of the cable, and a congressional inquiry has so far returned one line. A moving CEAC last-updated date after you write means someone opened the file; it is not a decision and has not preceded one in any case we hold.
If you are waiting on Dhaka
- Expect a new medical to be the first request if yours is older than six months; ask your panel clinic whether it already has instructions before you book.
- Every approval since the cable went through a second interview about money: taxes, savings, debts, insurance, employment plans and benefits history. The list is in the re-interview guide.
- A changed CEAC date after you email the post means the file was opened, not decided.
- If your report would change this page, add your case. Rows are built from reports; a post with none cannot be shown as moving.
