Stockholm pause: quick answers

Is the US embassy in Stockholm calling back applicants refused under the immigrant visa pause?

Yes, in part. At least one applicant at Stockholm who is not a named plaintiff has reported a case-specific instruction: a new medical, a second interview or a document request. The last movement reported was on 8 Oct 2026.

What has happened at Stockholm since the pause was vacated?

First interviews are being rebooked: a K-1 (Norwegian beneficiary, not DCF) cancelled for 21 September was emailed a new date of 22 October on 8 October, and a second Stockholm K-1 first interview was rescheduled the same day. An early-October immigrant interview cancelled on 29 September and a 24 August K-1 are not yet reported rebooked. A 4 August immigrant case still awaits a decision; an 11 September questionnaire went unanswered.

How do I contact Stockholm about a pause case?

What applicants at Stockholm report: Reschedule emails for K-1 first interviews, about a month out. Across posts, emails usually return nothing or a copy of the cable, and a congressional inquiry has so far returned one line. A moving CEAC last-updated date after you write means someone opened the file; it is not a decision and has not preceded one in any case we hold.

If you are waiting on Stockholm

  • Expect a new medical to be the first request if yours is older than six months; ask your panel clinic whether it already has instructions before you book.
  • Every approval since the cable went through a second interview about money: taxes, savings, debts, insurance, employment plans and benefits history. The list is in the re-interview guide.
  • A changed CEAC date after you email the post means the file was opened, not decided.
  • If your report would change this page, add your case. Rows are built from reports; a post with none cannot be shown as moving.
